What We’re Doing
YWCA Hanover operates quality child development programs for families with children ages 1 to 12 years old. This includes summer Camp Phoenix, School Age Learning Academy for before and after school care and toddler/preschool child development programs Monday through Friday, 6am -6pm.
The Safe Home domestic violence program offers free 24/7 services to victims of domestic violence. Victims receive safety planning, temporary housing, therapy, accompaniment to appointments and court, transportation to appointments, legal services, referral to shelters, and more. Advocates are also active in the community presenting education programs for the prevention of domestic violence.
We continue to expand programs and services. Here are a few programs and services we currently offer:
Child Development Programs
Domestic Violence Intervention and Prevention
Girls Loving Life
Women of Hanover Network
Healthy Luncheon Speaker Series
Racial Justice Awareness
The Hanover YWCA offers child care that fits today’s working families. All YWCA Child Care Programs are licensed.
Recognizing the fact that domestic violence is a serious issue, the Safe Home Program was developed in 1981.
