After graduating from Johns Hopkins University, Alec held senior account management positions, including President, at various advertising agencies in New York City, Baltimore and Philadelphia developing marketing strategies and advertising campaigns for clients such as Tylenol, Hilton and Renaissance Hotels, The Bahamas, Jiffy Lube, Giant Foods, ConAgra Foods and Carlsberg Beer. Alec also held the position of Vice President of Marketing for Utz Quality Foods where she was responsible for brand image, packaging and placement, new product development and advertising.
Since opening her own business consulting firm, perspective, in 2015, Alec has been responsible for developing strategic and operational plans, growth strategies and marketing communications for TrueNorth Wellness Services, Hanover Area YMCA, Guthrie Memorial Library, Kennie’s Marketplace and Blickman Industries.
Alec has been a marketing guest lecturer for universities such as Rutgers, Temple and Johns Hopkins and was featured in the Top 40 under 40 for marketing, as well as a Top Food Marketing Executive.
Alec is proud to give back to the community in which she grew up and provided her such good fortune. She does so through her service on several regional and local non-profit Board organizations. Alec lives in Hanover, PA with her husband, David and their two children, Charlotte and JD.
Financial Advisor Cindy Fremont began her career with Edward Jones in 2009. She is currently the regional leader for south-central Pennsylvania. Cindy works closely with her clients to create individualized financial strategies that help promote success.
As a regional leader since 2018, Cindy oversees the health and growth of more than 70 branch teams in her region. Cindy contributed to the firm’s spirit of volunteerism by serving as a field trainer, WINGS leader, area WINGS leader, Ted Jones coach, client solutions leader, recruiting leader, and mentor. She was named a partner with the firm in 2021.
Cindy has recruited over 10 financial advisors to Edward Jones and hosted two as-set-sharing programs. She is also a recipient of the Spirit of Caring award.
Cindy is a holder of the AAMS® professional designation. She graduated with an associate degree from the Philadelphia School of Business.
Cindy lives in East Berlin, Pa., with her husband, Pete. She serves her community as a member of the Chamber of Commerce, the Rotary Club, and ABATE (Alliance of Bikers Aimed Toward Education). She also serves as a YWCA board member and is a founding member of SHE (Support Her Efforts). In her free time, she enjoys fishing, hiking with her dogs, and riding her motorcycle for charity events.

Dana received a full D1 athletic scholarship to Drexel University to play volleyball and has also had the honor of playing in the NCAA tournament. Dana is also a certified personal ISSA trainer with many CEC certifications added to her list of many credentials, the latest, being “A Transformation Specialist” . She has personally developed a proven technique of customized bodywork that offers a any patient an antidote to chronic pain, injuries, or general alignment. Dana has 20+ years of experience/evidence of life coaching, personal training, personal development/ athletic development, and nutritional/wellness/weight loss coaching with people of ALL ages. Dana loves a challenge. She looks forward to assisting patients toward total wellness thus allowing them to reach their full potential and live their best lives. Her whole heart beats for ALL to receive Total Wellness.
After 34 years, Deb retired from the Hanover Public School District as a music/theatre teacher. She holds a BS in Music Education from Millersville University, MA in Holocaust and Genocide Studies from Gratz College, and a Certificate in Diversity and Inclusion from Cornell University. Currently, Deb is the Social/Racial Justice Coordinator at YWCA Hanover. SRJ sponsors book clubs, art shows, Qmmunity, Enlightened Conversations, and more. Some of Deb’s other responsibilities include Pride Hanover Committee member, pre-school music teacher for YWCA Hanover, YMCA Hanover and Head Start Hanover, puppet ministry director for St. Matthew Lutheran Church in Hanover, and many other positions. In her free time, Deb spends time with her husband Andy, her children, and grandchildren.
Deborah Vereen is well known as a strategic thinker with twenty years of experience in designing and
implementing Diversity initiatives, training & development, and inclusionary processes in the private,
public, and non-profit sectors. Her company THE VEREEN GROUP, is committed to assisting
corporations, organizations, and executives in formulating systemic change strategies in the areas of
Diversity and Equitable Inclusion.
Deborah is a certified master trainer and facilitator whose areas of expertise comprise Strategic
Planning, Leadership Coaching, D&I Training & Development, Holistic Recruitment (Retention),
Community Engagement, Employee Business Resource Groups, and Inclusion Metrics, Reporting &
Analytics. She is one of a select few in the nation who has earned the unique double credential of
CCDP/AP (Cornell Certified Diversity Professional/Advanced Practitioner) from Cornell University.
Prior to transitioning to the private sector, Deborah was the Sr. Director of Organizational
Effectiveness and Diversity (OE&D) for AHOLD/GIANT Food Stores. She designed and directed the
effective integration of inclusionary practices into every area and discipline of the business by focusing
on Workforce Development, Marketplace Excellence, and Community Engagement. She established
AHOLD’s first Female Leadership Advisory Council and Multicultural Employee Business Resource
Group. As a result, she brings a bottom line perspective to the discipline of Diversity Equity and
Inclusion. Many Community, Business, Education, and Government entities have tapped into
Deborah’s “hands on” experience in Operations and Corporate.
Recognized for her work in Diversity Management, Inclusion and Community Engagement she is the
recipient of numerous awards which include Corporate Citizenship Diversity Award, Pennsylvania
Human Relations Commission; Keystone Award for Community Service, Pennsylvania Food Merchants
Association; Women of Excellence Award, YWCA; The Seed of Hope Award, PA Educational &
Entrepreneurial Youth Program. She was selected as one of the most “Influential Inclusion Leaders”
of Central PA, and has received the Business Diversity Champion Award from the Harrisburg Regional
Chamber of Commerce, and the Leadership in Diversity Award from The Conference For Women.
Deborah has been featured in Central Penn Business Journal’s Inclusion Editions, Harrisburg Magazine,
Business Woman, Progressive Grocer, The Urban Connection, Success Magazine, The Daily Item, The
Patriot News, and ABC27. She was invited to offer testimony before the bi-partisan Labor & Industry
Committee of the Pennsylvania Legislature regarding Pay Equity for Women.
Deborah is co-founder of the Diversity & Inclusion Professionals of Central PA (DIPCPA). She currently
serves on the Board of Directors of the Girl Scouts in the Heart of Pennsylvania (GSHPA), and the
Diversity Advisory Council of the Human Resource Professionals of Central PA (HRPCPA).

Flora Posteraro is an Emmy Award Winning former TV News Anchor/Reporter who
worked for 34 years at TV stations in Harrisburg, Wilkes-Barre, Johnstown and
Philadelphia – the nation’s fourth-largest television market. She was also voted Simply
the Best “Local TV Personality” by the readers of Harrisburg Magazine in 2018.
Flora created and is the Co-host of a video/audio podcast called “Chick2Chick”, giving
women a voice on issues that matter to them. The podcast is on all social media
platforms, several websites including Chick2Chick.com and 6 audio podcast channels.
Flora is also a Senior Multi-Media Specialist for PennWatch.org, a website that focuses
on Pennsylvania news. Flora adds content to PennWatch and produces videos for
clients for websites and social media platforms. In addition, Flora does Media and
Public Speaking Training for individuals and agencies to help them “rock” interviews and
Flora has anchored more than 10,000 newscasts during her career. She has
interviewed Presidents and top leaders, stood in hurricanes and blizzards and was the
first woman in the world to fly in a MiG29.
Flora loves to help others, especially children and non-profits in the community. She is
committed to helping the American Lung Association raise awareness about the #1
cancer killer of women. Her other top charities include the Highmark Caring Place,
Caitlin’s Smiles, Diakon Lutheran Social Ministries, Peyton Walker Foundation and Big
Flora’s greatest love is her son. She is a mother, a daughter, a sister, and a great
friend. Flora considers herself to be an average person with a big heart who thrives on
helping others and making a difference in the community.
Ginger Miller is the Health Promotion Manager at Utz Quality Foods, LLC. She is a member of the Utz Benefits team where she has developed and implemented many value-based programs and manages provider/vendor relationships that positively impact the Utz healthcare spend and population health. In her current capacity, she oversees the operations of the Hanover-based Utz Fitness Center, as well as the health and wellness programming for all national locations. Ginger assisted in facilitating the opening of the Utz Health and Wellness Center, an onsite primary care clinic in Hanover, PA, and continues to manage the employer’s end of operations, including the expansion of services nationally. She works closely with the Utz Benefits team to assist in developing innovative solutions for managing healthcare spend and promoting healthcare consumerism to the Utz associates. Ginger has been an integral part of developing a bundled payment program for joint replacements and a direct contract mammogram program with local providers. Over the past 18 months, she has been at the forefront of COVID-19 mitigation and management efforts at Utz, with numerous invitations to speak on these successes.
Ginger earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Occupational Therapy from Elizabethtown College and practiced in the field of Occupational Therapy for 19 years as a clinician and manager before joining Utz Quality Foods in 2013. In addition to numerous clinical certifications, she is a Certified Lymphedema Therapist and a Certified Ergonomic Assessment Specialist. She has been a guest speaker at many state and national events on a variety of health management topics.
Ginger is a member of the National Alliance of Healthcare Purchasers Leadership Council, the Healthy York County Coalition Leadership Council, and the Harrisburg Area Community College Health and Wellness Promotion Advisory Committee. She is also on the Board of the Hanover VNA and the Central Pennsylvania Business Group on Health where she serves as Vice-Chair. Ginger participates in the Highmark Customer Advisory Council and Navigate Wellbeing Advisory Council. In 2019 she was invited to participate in the Exact Sciences Advisory Board for Colorectal Cancer Screenings at Jefferson University and is currently on the Association for Corporate Health Risk Management digital behavioral health solutions committee.
She had the privilege of helping to develop the Utz Women’s Mentoring Group and was on the first Executive Committee, serving in as Chair during her last term.
Ginger resides in Hanover, PA with her husband, Tom, and her three active teenaged children. She practices what she preaches, spending her free time working out, running, biking, hiking, meditating and doing yoga.

BIO: Joe began his journey in Martial Arts at the age of 17, and has been teaching/training in Martial Arts for over 21 years. He received his 4th Dan in HapKiDo in 2008 and has been training in Combat Sports for 12 of those years, receiving his first Gold Medal in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu in 2008 as well.

Been teaching/training martial arts for 26 years
Most known for his ability to connect the traditional (HapKiDo) and reality-based systems of combat sports (Boxing, Muay Thai, Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu). The ability to bring back truth to the traditional martial arts. He can do this because of his 11-year stint running security in Baltimore, Owings Mills, and Westminster, putting his techniques and tactics on the line every weekend.
Kristin Newman is co-owner of Panebaker Funeral Home and Cremation Care Center, Inc. in Hanover. She is a first-generation funeral director and embalmer who was mentored by two female funeral directors in a time when women in this profession were hard to find. She attended Taylor University in Upland, IN, where she earned her B.S. degree in Elementary Education and Middle School Science. She furthered her education at Cincinnati College of Mortuary Science, earning her A.A.S in Embalming and Funeral Service.
In 2006, she and her husband, Mike, a third-generation funeral director, began a series of moves that would eventually land them in Hanover, where they purchased Panebaker Funeral Home, a now 67-year-old firm. They listened to the needs of the community and within four years, they opened a pet crematory, securing a niche market; and in early 2016, established the community’s first cremation care center, offering superior services and products to families in the area. Panebaker Funeral Home, Inc. is a member of Selected Independent Funeral Homes, is a four-time recipient of the National Funeral Directors Association Pursuit of Excellence Award, and was named Hanover Area Chamber of Commerce’s Small Business of the Year in 2013.
In addition to raising their two sons, ages 18 and 20, Kristin has volunteered with the Hanover Area Main Street Project, the American Heart Association’s Go Red for Women, through which she was named the Volunteer of the Year, the Hanover Hospital Bereavement Committee, and small groups within their church. She has held Board of Directors positions with the Henderson County (NC) Chamber of Commerce and Rotary Club. Kristin has maintained memberships with the Association for Death Education and Counseling, the Widows Persons Service, the United Way, Suicide Task Force of Henderson County. Pennsylvania Funeral Directors Association and the National Funeral Directors Association, where she had served on the Professional Development Committee for three years. She was named National Funeral Directors Association Mentor for 2016 and was a presenter during the 2016 National Funeral Directors Association International Convention.
Kristin’s desire to serve and educate has been the foundation of her career. The responsibility to companion the bereaved; informing while assisting and comforting while listening, has always been paramount in her professional objectives.
Lauren Souders is the Prevention Advocate at YWCA Hanover Safe Home. She has a bachelor’s degree in Secondary Education and Spanish from Towson University. Prior to her position at Safe Home, she taught Spanish in Baltimore County for 9 years. Lauren has experience working with children ages Pre-K thru 12th grade. She also has experience creating and implementing professional developments and trainings for adults. In her free time, she likes to go to the movies, spend time with her family, and play in the yard with her dogs.

Retired Communications and Development specialist for public school districts, Lisa has also worked as an adjunct instructor for the Bradley Academy for the Visual Arts, and as a columnist for the York Sunday News. Her first book ‘Scraps and Remnants: stitching together little pieces of life’ was published by KDP in early 2020. She is currently working on a second.
Michelle Mowrer is a Regional Vice President at Members 1st Federal Credit Union and she has been there for 12 years. Michelle is also the Treasurer and Board Member at the YWCA of Hanover. She is a graduate of Penn State University with her Bachelor’s Degree in Business Management. She is currently in process of completing her MBA at Penn State University and will graduate in May of 2022. Michelle recently was nominated for Business Women of the Year from the Business Women’s Forum and 40 under 40 for the Central PA Business Journal. Michelle is happily married and has 2 dogs that are her children. Michelle loves to travel especially to the Caribbean and spend time outdoors. Michelle is passionate about growing and leading others and participates in the Member 1st Leadership Development Program, Members 1st reward and recognition associate resource group, and Members 1st women in leadership associate resource group.

Robert Godfrey owner, Handsome Cab and McAlister’s on York
Robert Godfrey junior has worked in healthcare for over 20 years assisting clients with their electronic medical record systems across the United States. Robert saw the need for a casual upscale wine bar and restaurant in York as revitalization was happening in the downtown business district. Seven years ago, he opened the hansom cab in January of 2016 with his partner Andrew D’Agenais. This allows Roberts to utilize his love of wine and travel and marry them with great food in an urban atmosphere. Robert is currently working on opening MCAllister’s on York at 11 York Street in the McAllister Hotel with partners Andrew D’Agenais and Jordan Ilyes. It will be like The Handsome Cab, although beer will e on the tap, and they will continue their tradition of great wine, food, and cocktails. You won’t want to miss the rooftop bar called Bar E11even. It will be more casual with televisions and can be rented out for private events.
With over 20 years of Human Resources experience, Sara currently serves as the SVP of Associate Experience for Members 1st Federal Credit Union, based in Mechanicsburg, PA. In this role Sara safeguards our Delivering Unparalleled Experiences culture for our Members, Community and Associates. While also advancing HR and Learning & Development initiatives.
Prior to this she spent time in a variety of industries; manufacturing, chemical engineered services, life insurance & logistics.
Sara holds a Master of Education in Training and Development and a Bachelor of Communications both from The Pennsylvania State University – WE ARE! Sara and her family reside in Mechanicsburg. Her daughter Sadie is an alumnus of Mechanicsburg Area Senior High School & MASH Field Hockey, this fall she heads to American University. Her son Seth is Junior at MASH and a proud member of the Marching Band Pit Crew. Theresa Haggerty, Licensed Cosmetologist and trained Medical Aesthetician began bare Skin Care & Laser Center in June 2009. The inception of bare began in February 2008 when Theresa was hired by a physician who desired her expertise and talents to launch his laser hair removal business. Theresa loves, loves, loves working with her clients and her team. Everyday is a wonderful day at bare. She has been happily married to Scott Haggerty and has two adult children, Colby and Jordan. They are both married. Jordan and his wife have two children. She has a passion for traveling everywhere and loves spending time outdoors, mostly on her boats and motorcycles with her family and friends. Theresa is always happy and smiling. She has a most generous and kind heart and donates her time, talents and gifts to many organizations.
