Flora Posteraro is an Emmy Award Winning former TV News Anchor/Reporter who
worked for TV stations in Harrisburg, Wilkes-Barre, Johnstown and Philadelphia – the
nation’s fourth-largest television market. She was also voted Simply the Best “Local TV
Personality” by the readers of Harrisburg Magazine in 2018.
Flora created and is the Co-host of a video/audio podcast called “Chick2Chick”, giving
women a voice on issues that matter to them. The podcast is on all social media
platforms, DB TV Network, Chick2Chick.com, PennWatch.org, YouTube and 7 audio
podcast channels. Flora is also the Senior Content Producer for PennWatch Media, a
multi-media marketing agency and the Senior Multi-Media Specialist for PennWatch.org,
a website that focuses on Pennsylvania news. Flora adds content to PennWatch and
produces videos for clients for websites and social media. In addition, Flora does Media
and Public Speaking Training and emcees events in-person and virtually.
Flora has anchored more than 10,000 newscasts during her career. She has
interviewed Presidents and top leaders, stood in hurricanes and blizzards and was the
first woman in the world to fly in a MiG29.
Flora loves to help others, especially children and non-profits in the community. She is
committed to helping the American Lung Association raise awareness about the #1
cancer killer of women. She is also involved with Highmark Caring Place, Caitlin’s
Smiles, Diakon Lutheran Social Ministries, Salvation Army, Peyton Walker Foundation
and Hampden Township Veterans Recognition Committee.
Flora’s greatest love is her son. She is a mother, a daughter, a sister, and a great

Speaker Bio: Meet Your Designer Hi! I’m Steph and I own Primrose and Harp Floral Design. I have over 17 years of experience in the floral industry. For many of those years, designing flowers would occur on the weekends secondary to my full time career in the Criminal Justice Field. In January of 2020 I was blessed to be able to start Primrose and Harp Floral Design and now I design and run our flower business full time and LOVE what I do!
Our business is located in Hanover PA and I specialize in event floral work. I mostly design out of a little end room studio at our home, but during the holidays (and any other time we are able outside of wedding season, ) you can come shop for flowers and other goodies and meet me in person at our current Pop Up Shop located at 1206 High St. Hanover PA 17331. Teri Jakob, CMP, CMM has over two decades of experience with non-profit organizations. For the last thirteen years, she has focused on event planning and volunteer management. Teri has experience with event planning from board meetings and virtual luncheons, to phenomenal, themed galas and golf tournaments. As an industry leader, Teri oversees the development of special events for the UPMC Pinnacle Foundation. Teri’s son said it best, she makes the magic happen.

Leigh-Ann Reitze is manager of events and community relations with UPMC Central Pa. and is responsible for the logistics of over 100 marketing and internal events each year. She ensures every event runs smoothly, that all attendees are fully engaged, and UPMC is well represented in the community and the organizations it supports. In her role, Leigh-Ann oversees community relations, events and the community-giving process. Speaker Bio: Marie is a life-long Hanover resident with a passion for art, design and education. After a lengthy career as a high school art teacher, she transitioned into the business world. Marie and her husband, Ryan, own and operate Schmitt’s Interiors and Blinds Unlimited in Gettysburg. Using her artistic skill set and experience in education, she strives to help clients to make informed decisions on aesthetics, materials and color to enhance their homes. Marie continues to teach painting classes locally, creates her own artwork and is raising a teenage son.
Katie Karnas, Clinic Director and Physical Therapist – Phoenix Physical Therapy
Session Title: Time to prevent the hunchback! Let’s talk about the importance of posture with aging
About the Session: During this session, Katie will review the importance of posture with aging. As we age, our muscles and bones do too! This can lead to a loss of strength, as well as decreased postural stability which can lead to other health problems. It is important to be aware of this and know ways to combat these changes as we age. As they say, getting old ain’t for sissies!
Speaker Bio: Katie, who is originally from Doylestown, PA, attended Lebanon Valley College and obtained her Doctorate of Physical Therapy degree in 2015. After graduating, she worked in an outpatient physical therapy facility for a few years. She joined the Phoenix team in 2018 as clinic director and lead physical therapist for Phoenix’s outpatient physical therapy facility in Harrisburg, PA. She was an integral part of the overall development and growth of that facility. She now has taken on the same role in the Hanover clinic, in which she opened May of 2022. Katie continues to facilitate development and growth of Phoenix Physical Therapy in order to help bring quality physical therapy care to the region.
She resides in Hanover with her fiancé, Ben, and their cat, Toby.
Katie’s clinical expertise focuses on generalized outpatient orthopedics including post-surgical conditions, sports, work-related injuries, as well as chronic pain and other conditions. She has recently earned her distinction as a Fellow of the American Academy of Orthopedic Manual Physical Therapy. Dr. Barbara A. Rupp, Ed.D:
Barbara has always been interested in promoting the rights and abilities of women and young girls. She has been a past president and a long- time supporter of the YWCA. Her experience in school administration has also provided opportunities for her to learn about leadership, and she is always looking for ways to help women succeed in leadership. Barbara currently serves on the Hanover Borough Council, the UPMC Hanover Board, the South Western Education Foundation Board and several community committees. She enjoys keeping active and life- long learning.

Mary Kay Kelly:
Mary Kay is a retired administrator from South Western School District. After 33 years in education, she continues her focus on supporting the Hanover community in various ways. Mary Kay is a past president of YWCA Hanover’s Board of Directors. She is active in many YWCA Hanover committees that focus on empowering women, eliminating racism, and promoting peace, justice, freedom, and dignity for all. Mary Kay also serves on the South Western Education Foundation Board of Directors, allowing her to continue her commitment to public education. Through her many leadership and volunteer opportunities, Mary Kay has learned some valuable lessons: Never stop learning. Laugh every day. Our addiction crisis has overwhelmed our society and I have found great satisfaction in dealing with patients who struggle with addictions and helping them find their way back to health. Rebecca M. Shanaman focuses her practice on real estate and business matters. She is the Chair of CGA’s Real Estate Practice Group. Rebecca joined CGA Law Firm in early 2016, bringing over a decade of experience in real estate and business law from her practice in Chicago, Illinois.
Rebecca is experienced in negotiating and closing sophisticated business and commercial real estate acquisitions and sales. She is skilled at negotiating and drafting highly specified contracts, and at closing the deal. She is skilled in advising clients regarding the legal implications of transactions and strategizing with them on an expansive range of real estate and business issues.
Rebecca received her Juris Doctor from Loyola University Chicago School of Law and her Bachelor of Arts from LaSalle University. She is a graduate of York Catholic High School. About the session: We will talk about what the definition of bullying is, how to identify if your child is being bullied and what you can do about it. We will also discuss suicide awareness, the signs to look for and some resources to help you navigate your children through the hard teenage years.
Speaker Bios: Jess and Dawn are both middle-aged single Moms trying to navigate life while raising teenagers.
Jess has worked at McClarin Composites for 21 years. She has been in the Finance Dept for the past 5 years and recently got a promotion.
Dawn has been a Tattoo Artist for 28 years. I started tattooing in 1994, opened up my own shop in 1998 and ran a successful business in Manchester, Md for 17 years. I now tattoo at The Gallery here in Hanover and have been there for the past 6 years.
Jess and Dawn met when our sons, Cash and Matthew , became best friends in a second grade classroom at Baresville Elementary.
Little did we know this meeting would change our lives and start this incredible journey together.
We saw a need for Bullying and Suicide Awareness in our community, and decided to partner up and try to make this orld a better place for our youth.

Speaker Bio: Cindy has completed her 3-year yoga therapy through YogaLife Institute in Wayne, PA. She is an IAYT (International Association of Yoga Therapists) Certified Yoga Therapist, a registered yoga teacher with Yoga Alliance. She holds a Master of Arts degree in Marketing Communication and Advertising and is an E-RYT500, YACEP (Yoga Alliance Continued Education Provider), and Usui Holy Fire III Reiki Master.

Speaker Bio: Vikki Glogg is a double alumnus from Shippensburg University. She received her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology in 2012 and immediately began working on her master’s program. She obtained her Master of Science in Counseling in 2015. Vikki has always wanted to be in the helping services industry due to her personal experiences with family members with mental health concerns and one sibling who had autism. Vikki began in the field in 2008 working with high profile mental health diagnosed individuals in assisted living homes, while working on her bachelor’s degree. After she completed her masters, she attempted the mental health field and even higher education in South Carolina.
Vikki returned to Pennsylvania, and relocated to Lancaster County, where she began working in the Substance Use field. She has worked in Medication Assisted Treatment, different levels of care, and has been supervising clinical teams since 2017. Vikki has a passion for watching the growth of clients and staff in the substance use field. Vikki feels that providing services to clients should be individualized and person centered. Treatment should encompass the mind, body, and soul of a person, as well as family members being engaged. Vikki’s mission is to make sure that each client has structured treatment, ethical care, and opportunity for growth and development within their recovery.
