Kayode’s work incorporates themes that oscillate around a game play of light and shadow, expressing strong versatility in acrylic, oil, airbrushing, collage, and mixed media. Bright colors painstakingly weave together in themes which depict happiness, hope, beauty, and the importance of education.
He has also been featured in National and International dailies and was recognized by the Philadelphia Museum of Art during its “African Art, African Voices” Art exhibit in a feature film titled “In their own voices”, an interwoven portrait of four African artists in Pennsylvania.
As a York resident, Malomo has exhibited at the Kerlin Gallery every year since 2018, the Prince George’s African American Museum of Art, MD, and the African American Museum of Art in Philadelphia. Malomo’s painting titled “Serenity” graced the cover of the 2017 January edition of the Journal of African Literature, a global professional society of diaspora scholars, teachers, artists, artistes, and creative writers from over 55 countries.
